Why do nursing aides/assistants require proper training? As nursing aides work closely with patients, complete knowledge on certain basic skills are required to better patient care. It so happens that the patients are completely dependent on their aides to do their basic cores. Therefore, sometimes nursing assistants work for months together and their relationship with patients matters a great deal. The way they care for their patients has an effect on the patient's outlook and treatment. The approach of nursing aides develops positive, ongoing and caring relationships with patients.
